Series Potential Is Not About Length
What makes a story world able to sustain more than one book.
A series is sustained by questions that outlast a single plot: a world with unexplored corners, characters with unresolved arcs, a premise that can generate new situations.
Assessing series potential means looking honestly at whether those engines exist, then building them carefully where they almost do.
Not every book should become a series. Knowing which ones can is part of developing an author's long term work.
